Montana/Wyoming June 2000.
We traveled out to Montana and Wyoming in early June 2000. We drove to Cleveland
and flew to Salt lake, we did the scenic drive to Montana. Chris and I and Mom and
Dad were on this trip.
Our first stop was in the Grand Teton National park. We stayed in a cabin in the Jackson lake
area. I remember going into Jackson Hole and having a great buffalo meat loaf for dinner.
We hiked cascade canyon almost to the forks but were stopped by snow covered trails. This
is the trail that we almost ran directly into a bear. He could have easily got us if he wanted.
He did follow us for a while.

Next we were off 2 explore
Yellowstone. We had rented a cabin
high on a hill in Gardiner Montana. It
over looked the yellowstone river and
the main entrance to the park.
We did a day trip over the bear tooth pass one day. This is said to be one of the
most scenic highways in America. It reaches altitudes of 12000 feet.

The Final leg of our Journey took up to Northwestern
Montana to Glacier national park. This would turn out to be
the first of many great adventures there. Much of the area
was snow cover still so we missed out on a lot. We made up
for it in the years to come. See our previous travel page.
